↑Do you accept insurance?
We can submit to any
insurance. Some pay directly to the doctor, some only to the patient. We are
in-network provider for Met Life, Delta-Premier, Delta PPO, Guardian, Aetna PPO,
BC/BS of South Carolina (non-State Health Plan)
and CIGNA. Contact the office regarding a specific policy.
↑Do you make financial arrangements? We will be more
than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most
from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the
treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete
payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment
accepted by the office are check, cash or any major credit card. We also offer
12 months interest free through Citi Health.
↑ What
happens at the initial non-emergency visit? First, your records are
assembled and entered into the computer. Next, appropriate radiographs (X-rays)
are recorded digitally into your record. Basic consumer dental information is
then reviewed with the patient by the staff depending on your level of interest
and need. Finally the doctor reviews the records then conducts a series of exam
protocols to establish a data base for treatment decisions. These may include
medical history, dental history, head and neck cancer screening, muscle and
joint palpations, periodontal charting, occlusal analysis, smile analysis, and
dental structural analysis. Intra oral photography is then used to discuss
conditions viewed on the monitor with the patient. The patient determines what
areas are of immediate interest and then coordinates with the doctor what
treatment options seem best. A friendly interaction of information and feedback
allow the patient to determine the level of aggressiveness with which they
desire to be treated. Finally, comfortable financial arrangements and the next
appointment are made.
↑What
happens on an emergency appointment? The same records for becoming a
patient are obtained and entered into the computer. Then any necessary
radiographs for the area of interest are obtained and the doctor evaluates the
nature of the emergency. After discussion of the diagnosis and treatment
options then treatment may be rendered depending upon what's best for the
patient.
↑Can I just get my teeth cleaned without
x-rays? Not as a usual way of treatment for the protection of the
patient, but yes in unusual circumstances.
↑Will
cleaning my teeth hurt? Every ones experience may be different, but
more often than not routine cleanings do not cause painful responses. Numbing
is readily available to any patient that needs it and is used on an individual
basis at no extra charge.
