- Laser Diagnostics
A weak red
diode laser uses reflectance to aid in the diagnosis of non-visible cavities,
and bacterial accumulations on the roots underneath the gums. It dramatically
increases the ability to detect cavities in their earliest state which in turn
improves their treatability. Its use during the treatment of gum disease
improves the ability to ensure total removal of bacterial deposits.
- Digital X-Rays
Electronic
sensors and microprocessors allow the acquisition and storage of x-rays,
pictures utilizing much less radiation than conventional film. Digitizing
allows the larger display, archive ability, and transmission of these
images.
- Intra-Oral imaging
A small
camera is used to capture close up images using either reflected or transmitted
visible light. This helps both the diagnosis of and explanation to the patient
of what and where problems are discovered.
- Patient Education
Computer
graphics, models, and simple printed materials are used to educate the patient
regarding their oral condition, its cause and treatment options. Once basic
understanding of how dental disease is both caused and diagnosed, patients are
empowered to determine their exposure to more advanced
information.
- Chair-side Computers
Each
treatment chair accesses one or two computers linked to a central software
system. This enables electronic records, educational materials and future
appointment scheduling chair side.
- Personalized Hygiene Maintenance
Programs
Continuing care guidelines and preventative therapies are
discussed and re-evaluated in a timely fashion to promote long term dental
health and well being.
- Dental Science Information
Part of our mission is to be a gateway for those interested in the more
advanced and complex aspects of oral health. Resources and references are
provided both on request and on the website to help everyone understand and
enjoy what modern dentistry has to offer everyone.
- Fluoride Varnish, Sealants and
Rinses
are discussed to enhance prevention of disease and in the
treatment of sensitive teeth.
- Ultrasonic
Cleanings
Ultrasonic wavelength energy is used to "erase" hard dental
deposits. This improves both the speed and comfort of the hygiene
procedure.
- Air Polishing
A stream of
low pressure air utilizes a mixture of baking soda, salt and water to gently
spray away soft deposits and stains.
- Periodontal
Treatment
Utilizes traditional instruments to remove hard deposits
above and below the gum line. When indicated, the laser is used to sterilize
the pocket and enable the body to heal naturally.
- Air Abrasion
A stream of
high pressure air utilizes very fine particles of sand to spray away weak tooth
structure and decay for minimal size preparations. It also safely removes
stubborn stains commonly found underneath old fillings with much less removal
of good tooth structure commonly associated with conventional rotary turbines.
The patient feels no vibration or pressure and is rewarded with a better
surface for bonding tooth colored restorations.
- Tooth Colored
Restorations
Tooth colored fillings can be placed directly or
fabricated in the laboratory when large amounts of tooth must be replaced or
covered.
- Fixed Prosthetics
Crowns,
onlays and bridges laboratory fabricated to replace or cover very worn, broken
or decayed teeth.
- Bleaching
In office power
bleaching to lighten teeth quickly. Take home bleaching provides whitening of
teeth most effectively and economically.
- Facially Generated Treatment
Planning
communicates effectively what can and/or should be done for
maximum smile enhancement and explores options available along with their
associated costs.
- Cosmetic Dentistry
Bleaching, bonded veneers, crowns and bridges may be utilized as treatments to
enhance smile appearance and appeal.
- Endodontics (Root
Canal)
Disinfects and replaces the inside soft tissue of a tooth.
Usually only one visit required to accomplish and eliminate pain.
- Oral Surgery
The removal of
non-restorable teeth. The laser may be utilized to stop bleeding and enhance
healing.
- Grafting
Soft or hard tissue
may be moved or added if needed.
- Partial/Full Denture
Removable prosthetics may be fabricated to replace a few or all missing
teeth.
- Implant Restoration
Implants placed can be restored to normal function with crowns, bridges, or
removable partial dentures placed over the implant.
- TMJ/TMD
Diagnostic and
treatment modalities available for patients with joint or muscle problems
associated with headaches, grinding and clenching and associate problems with
wear.
- Sleep Medicine
Oral devices
to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of snoring or sleep apnea (stopping
breathing) in conjunction with the patient's physician.
